Probate

When a person dies with assets in his or her name, a probate administration may be required to legally and validly transfer the decedent’s interests to those assets to his or her beneficiaries or heirs – either through directions made by the decedent in a will, or through Florida’s laws of intestate succession.

Probate administration is relatively inexpensive in Florida as compared with many other states. Florida has no inheritance tax and the legal procedures are generally clear and straightforward.

If you have lost a loved one and need assistance with administering his or her estate so that assets can be validly transferred, or have other probate matters to resolve, please do not hesitate to contact me. The initial consultation is without charge.
